Oswe Girls’ Secondary School BOOK DRIVE

Tutaweza sponsored a Book Drive during the summer and fall of 2013, to help Oswe Girls’ Secondary School in Vwawa, Tanzania buy textbooks.  It was customary for 5-8 girls to share one book for each subject.  Many friends of Tutaweza were happy to donate $9 (the average cost of a book) to help these deserving students.As a result, we were able to purchase 143 books, for which Oswe administration, staff, and students extended a big,“Asante sana!”  (Thank you very much!)

There is always a need for books and supplies at our partner schools.  You are welcome to designate any portion of your gift to enhance the general learning environment for students in this way.  Simply make your request by using the “Add Special Instructions to the Seller” entry on our PayPal payment page.
