Lynn Stricklan – President
Lynn, along with his wife Kay, volunteered in Tanzania in 2001. As a result of that experience and the friendships formed, Tutaweza was created. Lynn has founded and been an officer of several successful companies in the high tech field, and was involved with the initial launch of Google services in sub-Saharan Africa.
Andrew Mbughi – In-country Director
Andrew currently works as a Laboratory Technician for St. Joseph’s Paramiho Hospital in Tanzania. His background as a school administrator and teacher, as well as his many contacts within the country, make him an ideal representative for Tutaweza. Andrew is responsible for pre-screening student applicants, evaluating schools and administering the funds within Tanzania.
Barbara Cribari Johnson – Vice President
Barb worked as a web designer and metrics program manager for Agilent Technologies in Colorado Springs. Tutaweza benefits from her 30+ years of experience in the business world, as well as her high energy level and ideas for fund-raising. Barb demonstrates her strong commitment to education through her volunteer work for Tutaweza, but also Pikes Peak Library, and Lutheran Family Services where she enjoys helping refugees improve their English.
Jeffrey Seabaugh – Treasurer
Jeff is a New Product Development Program Manager for Allegion PLC. In this role, Jeff is responsible for the development of new hardware and software products across a wide range of brands from ideation to market launch. He holds an MBA from Colorado Technical University and his work experience in project management, operations, accounting and financial analysis is crucial to maintaining a sound financial footing for Tutaweza.
